Chronic and acute pain are not just physical events. They are nervous system events. The body braces, compensates, and holds patterns of protection long after the original cause has passed.
These offerings do not mask pain. They address the conditions that sustain it — through yoga therapy, restorative practice, and evidence-based technology — so the body can begin to reorganize around safety rather than threat.

The body does not change through pressure. It changes when the nervous system finally receives enough evidence that it is safe. We create that evidence — one session at a time.
Pain is not a simple signal. It is the nervous system's interpretation of threat — shaped by tissue damage, inflammation, movement patterns, stress history, hormones, and the brain's prediction of what movement will feel like. Addressing only one of these layers rarely produces lasting change.
Our approach to pain management and restoration works across multiple layers simultaneously — yoga therapy, breathwork, nervous system regulation, and restorative technology — because that is what the research supports and what the body needs.
Certified yoga therapists (C-IAYT) complete a minimum of 800 hours of training beyond foundational yoga instruction, including clinical case studies and health science education. As research confirms and Mayo Clinic practitioners describe yoga therapy works on the autonomic nervous system, changing a person's relationship to pain and the way they experience it. Studies document meaningful reductions in chronic low back pain, fibromyalgia, arthritis, and anxiety-related tension — while improving heart rate variability, cortisol levels, and overall quality of life.
Specific breath patterns directly modulate the autonomic nervous system — shifting the body from sympathetic activation (the pain-amplifying state) into parasympathetic rest. Extended exhale breathing, diaphragmatic sequencing, and breath-led movement have been shown to reduce the intensity and frequency of pain episodes, increase oxygen flow to soft tissues, and lower the inflammatory markers associated with chronic pain.
Far Infrared heat penetrates deep into muscles, joints, and soft tissues — far beyond the surface warming of conventional heat therapy. Clinical research supports FIR for temporary relief of pain and muscle spasms, increased local circulation, and reduction of inflammation in chronic pain presentations including fibromyalgia, arthritis, and chronic lower back pain.
PEMF therapy uses low-frequency electromagnetic pulses to interact with the body at a cellular level. A growing body of clinical research supports its use for chronic pain, inflammation reduction, and nervous system regulation — with documented effectiveness for chronic lower back pain, osteoarthritis, and fibromyalgia, and a strong safety profile with no significant side effects.
Kaitlin is a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT) and Ayurvedic practitioner whose work is rooted in the clinical application of yoga therapy for chronic pain, nervous system dysregulation, and the full complexity of women's health. Her sessions are individualized, assessment-driven, and grounded in both IAYT standards and Ayurvedic seasonal intelligence.
Kaitlin leads all Yoga Therapy for Pain Management sessions — private and group — and the Restorative Mat + Breath sessions. Erin Tomaso joins for select Aura Mat sessions, bringing her nervous system and breathwork expertise to the restorative container.

Gentle therapeutic movement and breathwork in a group setting — the same evidence-based yoga therapy approach as the private sessions, adapted for a shared space. Education, movement, breath, and integration woven together into one supportive session.
• Yoga therapy movement adapted for diverse pain presentations
• Breathwork and nervous system regulation practices
• Education on pain science, posture, and movement awareness
• Guided meditation and somatic reflection
• Accessible for all bodies and all levels of mobility
• A supportive community of women navigating similar experiences
• You live with chronic pain — back, joint, nerve, muscle, or pelvic — and you are ready for an approach that addresses the root, not just the symptom
• You experience pain flare-ups triggered by movement, posture, or stress
• You have been told your pain is "normal" or "just part of aging" — and you are not satisfied with that answer
• You are postpartum and navigating the complex recovery of a body that has been through something profound
• You are in perimenopause or menopause and noticing new patterns of tension, stiffness, or pain
• You are working with a physical therapist or physician and want complementary support that integrates with your care plan
• You are exhausted — physically, nervously, or both — and you need a place to rest and reset before anything else
• You want to understand your pain, not just manage it
These offerings are designed to work alongside your clinical care — not replace it. Between your physician, your physical therapist, and Kaitlin, we will make sure you are supported at every layer.
The changes in this work are often quiet at first.
A breath that drops lower than it has in years. A movement that stopped hurting without you noticing exactly when. A day where the flare-up that usually comes — didn't. A body that feels less like a problem to manage and more like a place to inhabit.
Over time the shifts compound. Less frequent pain episodes. Greater range of motion. More confidence in movement. A nervous system that has learned it does not need to brace all the time.
Pain is not the last word your body has to say. These sessions create the conditions for a new conversation.
Results women in this work commonly report:
• Less frequent and less intense pain episodes
• Greater range of motion and reduced stiffness
• Improved posture, balance, and functional strength
• More confidence and less fear around movement
• Tools to regulate the nervous system when pain arises
• A felt sense of safety in the body — often for the first time in years

Q: Do I need prior yoga or movement experience?
A: No. These sessions are designed to meet you exactly where you are — including high pain states, limited mobility, and complete unfamiliarity with yoga or breathwork. Kaitlin and Erin will adapt everything to your body and your current capacity.
Q: I am already working with a physical therapist. Can I still come?
A: Yes — and we encourage it. Our approach is designed to be complementary to physical therapy, not competitive with it. We communicate with care teams when appropriate and ensure that what you are doing in these sessions supports and does not conflict with your PT plan. Between your physician, your PT, and Kaitlin, we will make sure you are supported at every layer.
Q: What is the Aura Lounge mat — is it safe?
A: The Aura Lounge mat combines Far Infrared heat and Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy — two clinically studied, non-invasive modalities with strong safety profiles and no significant side effects in the research literature. If you have a pacemaker, are pregnant, or have active implanted medical devices, please consult your physician before booking a mat session. Kaitlin will review your health history before your first session.
Q: What is the difference between a private session and a group class?
A: Private sessions with Kaitlin are fully individualized — she assesses your specific presentation and builds each session around your body, your history, and your goals. Group sessions offer the same evidence-based approach in a shared space at a lower cost. Many women begin with a group class to experience the work, then move into private sessions for deeper, personalized support.
Q: I have a specific diagnosis. Is this appropriate for me?
A: These sessions are designed to be accessible for a wide range of chronic and acute pain presentations — including back pain, fibromyalgia, arthritis, joint pain, neuropathy, pelvic pain, and postpartum recovery. If you have a complex or serious diagnosis, we recommend reaching out before your first session so Kaitlin can assess the best entry point for your situation. We always recommend working in conjunction with your clinical care team — physician, physical therapist, and any other relevant providers.
Q: Can I book a mat session without booking a yoga therapy session?
A: Yes. The Restorative Mat + Breath session stands completely alone and does not require any prior yoga therapy experience. It is a deeply accessible, non-movement-based offering — appropriate for anyone, including those who are not ready for active movement due to pain, fatigue, or recovery.
